mentoring

I coach and mentor early Osteopaths and allied health practitioners in their graduate years. I focus on branding and marketing, confidence and mindset, and improving patient outcomes, so you succeed in private practice and beyond.

Meet Dana the Osteopath. In this image she is leading against a concreate building, wearing a dark denim dress and is carrying a laptop in her hand.

Hi! Nice to meet you and if you are new here – I’m Dana! I coach and mentor new graduate Osteopaths and allied health practitioners who are in their first few years of private practice.

I am an osteopath with over 16 years experience and I will continue to work face to face with patients for many years. Mentoring was something that always came naturally to me, and when I owned a large practice I got some brilliant results with graduates who seeked help and advice from me.

Fast forward to today, I am using the online space as way to monitor and coach graduates all over the country, which is just so exciting! when I’m not on zoom, you’ll find me working in private practice and as a part time clinical supervisor at Victoria University. And in my spare time, I’m busy looking after 2 kids and 2 fur babies! I really can’t wait to meet you!

1:1 mentoring

Working together 1:1 in either weekly or fortnightly sessions. I’ll take you through my 6 steps to success framework. This is the framework I’ve been using for my coaching clients since 2023 and I’ve had some great success with this method.

Goals, Mindset & Values

Arguably, one of the most important topics in our sessions together. If you fail to plan then you plan to fail! Not only do we cover your goals and values, but we also define your uniqueness and work out the reasons why you got into the profession in the first place. Having these set out, will ultimately set you up for a successful career.

Connecting with others

Connecting with others: This topic is all about how we network as allied health practitioners and build our referral list. Ultimately, how do you get people talking about you being the number 1 referral when people say the word “Osteopath”.

Online visibility

We nut out how to not only show up online but how to stand out and all the steps to create a personal brand that will have patients booking out your appointments.

In the treatment room

Here we will discuss consultation delivery. AKA when you have your client face-to-face and you are ready to start working with them. I give you prompts on what to say when a patient tells you “I’m worse”. We discuss how to put our patients on management plans that will see you booked out for the month ahead. Ultimately, this module is about how we can best support our patients to improve patient outcomes.

Nailing your niche

When you have worked out your ideal patient your job will be so much easier. Many of my clients think this step is years away but after working together for a few months I find we are going over this so much earlier than you believed you would. I teach you all the steps you can take to define your niche and bring those patients through your door.

Setting you up for success

Think structures, automations and systems that will make your life easier and decrease the amount of admin time, but overall how you will best succeed in your graduate year and beyond.

what people are saying about the program

“Dana has been, and continues to be the positive support network I needed in my first years as a new graduate Osteopath. Any question asked was never a silly one. She guided me by working collaboratively in the problem solving process. Her mentoring style has empowered me so that I could independently problem-solve in the future. She is approachable, personable and has a world of knowledge to help you enhance your skills”

Should I do Weekly or fortnightly sessions?

This is totally up to you. Most of my weekly clients are those who have little to no mentoring support in the clinic they work at, or they have decided to start their own business and so are working for themselves. My fortnightly clients are those who ahve some mentoring support in their workplace, either boss, or an open door policy. These clients feel they need some support, but are not needing to speak to me weekly.

Do you offer any support outside of our sessions?

Yes! In addition to our online session, I offer text support when needed. I will endeavour to get back to you within 2 hours during business hours

How long should we work together?

I usually suggest clients work with me for a minimum of 3 months, however, there is no maximum time.

Is 1:1 mentoring the only way to work with you?

Currently, yes it is! However I will be launching a brand new program mid 2024 which is a group mastermind experience. This program will run once a year. If you would like to go on the waitlist for my 6 month mastermind – pop your email on the waitlist here:

what people are saying about the program

“Danas support in establishing my osteo business has been invaluable. Her experience as a clinic owner made it easy to identify the gaps in my day to day running of the practice. Her marketing background helped develop ideas on how to attract new clientele.

The ongoing clinic mentorship gave me, a new graduate, the confidence to venture out on my own, knowing I had her experience and expertise to call on if required. Dana is insightful and gently probes me to think deeply about the clients I want to attract and adaptable to target her program to the areas I need to grow the most”.
